报告题目🐋：Research at ISE Dept of National University of Singapore and Editorial review process from editors and reviewers' perspective

报告摘要🧗🏻‍♂️：

In this talk, Professor Xie will first introduce some research activities at ISE Department of National University of Singapore. The department has three research groups, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management and Quality Engineering. He will also share with us of his experience with the online system and publishing in good international IE journals, from his perspective as referee and editor. Prof Xie is current actively serving on 

over 10 journal editorial board as editor or associate editor handing reviews.

报告人简介🚟： Min Xie received his Ph.D. in Quality Technology in 1987 from Linkoping University in Sweden. In 1978, he entered Special Class of Gifted Young at USTC after getting the highest entrance score. In 1991, he was 

awarded the prestigious LKY research fellowship and moved to Singapore.

Currently he is a Professor at Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Prof Xie has authored or co-authored almost 200 journal papers and eight books on quality and reliability engineering, including Software 

Reliability Modelling by World Scientific Publisher, Statistical Models and Control Charts for High Quality Processes by Kluwer Acaedmic, Advanced QFD Applications by ASQ Quality Press, Weibull Models by John Wiley, and 

Stochastic Aging and Dependence for Reliability by Springer-verlag. He is an Editor of Int Journal of Reliability, Quality and Safety Engineering, Department Editor of IIE Transactions, Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions 

on Reliability, International Journal of Systems Science, and a number other international journals. Prof Xie is an elected fellow of IEEE.
