On July 14, 2016, representatives from the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering of Tongji University, including Associate Dean Yaobao Yin and Zhengrong Li, Deputy Party Secretary Hong Li, undergraduate student counselor Yanan Li and graduate student counselor Jing Shi, visited the Department of Industrial Engineering. The Deputy Head of scientific research Simin Huang, Deputy Head of Education Kaibo Wang and Deputy Party Secretary Pingke Li attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Prof. Simin Huang introduced the architecture and current status of the Department of Industrial Engineering on scientific research. Prof. Kaibo Wang introduced the development history and student training characteristics of the department, and Prof. Pingke Li introduced the practice and experience of student affairs. The two sides carried on an in-depth discussion about the construction of scientific research team, undergraduate training program, graduate requirements, student management etc.
