【Abstract】A company’s fate is often directly tied to the successful introduction of new products and services. Unfortunately, the failure rate of these introductions is high because of the lack of understanding of the product management process. In most companies, the product managers (PM) are responsible for decisions related to a product or service. Their functions include identifying new product opportunity, proposing a business plan, defining the market requirement specifications, coordinating the R&D effort, formulating marketing plan, arranging production and managing product life cycle.
