Prof. Chen-Fu Chien visited our department and talked with Prof. Zhizhong Li, Prof. Wei Zhang and Prof. Simin Huang on the afternoon of April 21, 2015. Prof. Chien is from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. During the meeting, Prof. Chien and our department representatives discussed around several topics in details, including joint supervision of students, double-degree programs, and research collaboration opportunities. Both sides expressed the hope for further collaboration and the goal of leading the field of industrial engineering. Notably, both sides have maintained a good collaborative relationship for a long time via mutual visits and wide communications among faculty members and students.
