On May 21, the final round of the 13rd “Qingfeng Mingbian” Debate Competition (Group A) was held at Dongjie lecture hall. Two teams, Department of Industrial Engineering vs. School of Humanities, debated on the topic of “The pros and cons of the influence of public opinion on judicial justice”. Four members of the IE team, Cong Ren, Kehan Pan, Xiang Li and Jiawei Tao exhibited excellent performance, defeated the School of Humanities after a one-hour battle, and won “Qingfeng Mingbian” Championship Trophy (Group A). Xiang Li was awarded the Most Popular Debater and the Best Debater. Prof. Zhizhong Li, Party Secretary of IE Department, and Wenjun Liu, Deputy Director of IE Student Affairs Office, attended the competition.

It has been thirteen years since “Qingfeng Mingbian” first initiated. It was a university-level debate competition, which was organized by the Student Union of Tsinghua University.
