Biography

Dr. Xiwen Bai is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University, holding a doctoral degree from Nanyang Technological University. Her research focuses on port and shipping operations, sustainable maritime transportation, and big data analytics in shipping. Her work has been published in leading transportation journals such as Transportation Science and Transportation Research Part A/C/E. Dr. Bai serves as an Associate Editor for Maritime Policy & Management and editorial board member of Journal of Shipping and Trade. Her research has been featured in prominent media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal.

She is seeking highly motivated Ph.D. students with strong mathematical and programming skills. Postdoctoral researchers with expertise in transportation, industrial engineering, big data applications, or related fields are also welcome to join her team.
